A day in the life

We want to make your day as smooth and enjoyable as possible from start to end.

Read through ‘a day in the life’ to give you an idea of what to expect from a day at the Squires Kitchen International Bakery School.

A typical day starts at 9.30am in the sugarcraft school and 10.00am in the cookery school. We suggest you arrive around 30 minutes earlier so you can collect any pre-ordered equipment, meet your tutor and classmates, get set up and have a cup of tea!

When you arrive at the Squires Kitchen Shop, a member of staff will be there to welcome you and take you over to the school with your fellow students. A workspace will be set up ready for you to write your name on.

After a brief introduction, you will get started on your course. There will be lots of chances to ask your tutor questions should you have them, and regular breaks for refreshments.

You will break for lunch for approximately 30 minutes. A freshly made lunch will be provided in the refreshment area, where you can sit and browse through Squires Kitchen magazines and books to get plenty of ideas and inspiration.

After lunch you’ll return to the classroom for the afternoon where your class will continue until 4pm. Once you’ve completed your course you can take the opportunity to chat to the tutor if you have any questions.
