You will learn:
  • Learn how to make a smooth buttercream and give it layered textures on a cake
  • Learn how to mask a layered cake and use ganaching plates and achieve sharp edges with Buttercream
  • How to temper chocolate using a very simple method and work with it to cut out chocolate shapes and paint chocolate
  • Learn how to make and pipe meringues and give them that perfect crunch and colour
  • Learn how to assemble chocolate work safely onto a cake without it falling over and how to stack meringues without them toppling over

Each student will walk away with the technical skills and confidence to work with layered cakes and the ability to decorate them with different mediums like chocolate and meringues, along with a Squires Kitchen certificate.
