The decorative technique of quilling, widely used in papercraft, is now being applied to sugarcraft, with pretty quilling patterns appearing as cupcake toppers or being incorporated in wedding or celebration cakes.

Vanessa will demonstrate how to cover a cupcake with a marbled disc of sugarpaste and how to prepare the cupcake ready for quilling. Working on pre-covered cupcakes, you will learn how to cut strips of coloured Sugar Florist Paste and how to roll and/or shape these into decorative shapes to create 3D effect patterns.

Using simple techniques, this is a great workshop for beginners, with plenty of ideas to get creative with. You will leave with four gorgeous cupcakes and fresh new decorative skills to apply to your cake creations.
