Award-winning tutor and author Vicky Teather will teach you a whole host of essential modelling skills including hand modelling, texturing, dusting and moulding. Whether you’re new to sugar modelling or looking to step up your skills, you’ll love creating your own festive mice scene.

Discover Vicky’s top tips for working with modelling paste as you learn how to build three festive mice using a range of basic shapes. Find out how to create facial expressions, animated gestures and fun costume effects you can apply to a variety of cake designs. 

At the end of the class you'll leave with a comprehensive understanding of modelling and sugarcraft techniques, as well as a delightful Christmas display ready to top your Christmas cake or table centre piece.

What you will learn:

• How to work and shape modelling paste with your hands to create the characters
• How to use essential modelling tools and equipment
• How to create a woodgrain pattern in the surface of sugarpaste
• How to use an airbrush to add depth and shading
