NEW! Grow Your Cake Business Masterclass with Peboryon

Course photo is illustrative and does not necessarily represent the actual course topic - please see the course description for specific topics covered on the course.

In just two years Christine and Phil Jensen took their cake company Peboryon from home grown startup to being the preferred supplier at London’s top hotels as well as being featured a number of times on Channel 4’s "Extreme Cake Makers". As part of SK International School's Special Guest Tutor Series for 2018, Phil Jensen of the infamous and multi-award winning Peboryon will share with you Peboryon's in-depths insights and guidance in this relaxed and interactive seminar, where he will share practical techniques, advice and learnings from their successes (and failures!) to help your existing cake business grow, flourish, and last.

Course date and times:
  • Sunday 18th November: 9:30am to 4:00pm

Phil will share the highs and lows of their cake business journey from start up to present day with real honesty, (and possibly a few stories that they’ll make you promise not to tell!).

He will share practical tips and skills for growing your cake business and include information about what didn’t work too!

This class will deal with the real task of making cakes for a living. It’s for hard working cake makers who wonder… “is this worth it?” and who are committed to finding out the answer.

To begin with drawing on Phil’s ten years in international business management, Phil will look at how to define clear aims for your business to set your business on the right course for success.

He will then look at different marketing strategies from understanding who your customer is, to using digital media and networking strategies. Phil will explore sales techniques and strategies to improve conversion of enquiries to orders.

To finish with he will look at ways of fine-tuning your business operations to be more cost effective and efficient, and cover a crash course in costing cakes (always an interesting point for discussion!).

At the end of the day you’ll have a clear set of actions that you can implement and some useful tools to put them in place.

This class is an opportunity for an honest appraisal of professional goals, and how to reach them.
