Over two days, learn how to create wired roses,Roses, buds, foliage, sweet peas with tendrils and pods, hand pulled flowers of lilacs and star flowers to create a beautiful, colourful posy.
SK tutor Claire Fitzsimons will take you through the essential tools and equipment needed for making sugar flowers. She will teach you the techniques and processes required to create realistic wired flowers, pulled flowers and foliage.
Under expert guidance, you will learn techniques include dusting, steaming and glazing as well as arranging the flowers into a spray.
You will leave with a beautiful display and the confidence to create impressive wired and pulled flowers.
Note: the spray can be used to decorate a cake but the course does not include a cake. If you wish to learn how to cover a cake, please refer to our Key Skills: Sponge Cake Preparation, Buttercream and Sugarpaste (in the Foundation Diploma section).
