On this one-day course, expert tutor Claire Fitzsimons will teach you how to cover a 6" round fruit cake and board with both marzipan and sugarpaste (fondant) to a professional standard.
She will show you how to make beautiful hand-modelled sugarpaste roses to decorate your cake - you can make as many as you like according to time and apply the technique at home to make more if needed. Claire will also explain how to use various sugarcraft tools and techniques to create clever fabric and textured effects. Under her expert guidance, you will also discover how to use plunger cutters, silicone moulds and impression mats.
You will leave this course with the confidence to create impressive celebration cakes and decorations.
This course requires a 6" round fruitcake you will be able to pre-order, should you not want to bring your own.
