Cascading Wafer Blooms

Over two days, learn to work with on trend wafer paper to create gorgeous blousy blooms with Naomi Lee from 'The Cake Botanist'. Naomi will teach you how to create a delicate English rose, ranunculus, striking anemones and pretty hydrangeas all arranged in a eye catching cascade over two dummy tiers which you will cover in marble sugarpaste. Naomi will also share with you how to paint your tiers to give a popular worn finish and also how to work with wafer paper border cutters for stunning results.

  • How to work with wafer paper and its unique properties (perfect for humid conditions or if you want to store your arrangement/cake in the fridge)
  • How to make wafer paper roses, anemones, filler flowers, rannuculus, leaves and sugar berries
  • How to work with paper cutters to cut clean smooth borders for cakes instead of ribbon
  • How to use an airbrush when colouring wafer paper
  • How to sugarpaste dummy cakes and give them sharper edges
  • How to create a marbled finish on sugarpaste
  • How to use edible tints to brush, blend and create watercolour effects on cakes
  • How to use Safety Seal, a new product designed to replace Posy Picks and help you stick flower wires into cakes
  • How to assemble and style your flowers onto a cake to make it look stunning for all occasions
