Making your own fresh bread is a fantastic life skill and one that fills your home with the unrivalled and welcoming smell of freshly baked bread. Award winning baker, Keith Kirby, will show you the basics of bread baking and you will go home with an amazing selection of delicious breads you will be proud to share with family and friends!

On this fabulous one day course you will learn the basics of bread making. Keith will start with an introduction to the basic ingredients and a share essential knowledge and tips on how to successfully make bread in your own home kitchen. You will be introduced to mixing techniques and shown different approaches to developing the dough. You will make three or four different doughs during the class and make a great selection to take home.

Keith will share simple ideas for decorating your bread suitable for Christmas and New Year celebrations – eat today if you can’t resist or freeze ready for the Christmas holidays!

What you will learn:

• The basics you need to make any bread
• How to work the dough successfully
• How to shape bread
• How to bake a variety of loaves, rolls and breadsticks
• How to make simple decorative markings.
