A great opportunity to learn with not one but two leading sugarcraft tutors – royal icing expert Tessa Whitehouse and expert cake artist, Natasha Collins. On this special one-day course, you will learn how to achieve amazing painted effects with edible colours and a wide range of royal icing techniques on cookie canvases to create your own edible mini masterpieces.

These beautiful hand-painted biscuits with fine royal iced detail would make perfect gifts, afternoon tea treats or wedding favours. Once you have mastered the skills in this class, you could adapt the patterns and colours to match your own theme for any occasion.
In the morning, Natasha will show you how to cover ready-baked and shaped biscuits with perfectly smooth sugarpaste and a variety of clever painting techniques. You’ll create your own unique vintage-style biscuits depicting birds, delicate flowers and a wildflower meadow.
In the afternoon, you will spend time with Tessa, learning how to add beautiful royal icing detail to your painted biscuits. You will discover how to colour royal icing, how to perfect your pressure piping skills and many other techniques for adding a 3D effect such as brush embroidery and piped borders.
You will leave with a range of individual and impressive biscuits, a Squires Kitchen certificate and the confidence to create perfect biscuits for any occasion.
