Expert tutor and demonstrator, Tessa Whitehouse, will teach you the essential royal icing methods - sharing her personal hints and tips about how to make the most of this versatile sugar medium.
Begin by discovering how to make and colour royal icing and adapt the consistency for different techniques. You will then learn how to marzipan a round cake and then coat this with royal icing, achieving a smooth and professional finish. Tessa will then guide you through various decorative skills such as run outs, piped borders, drop line work and royal iced flowers to practise your piping skills.
You will leave this two-day course with a sense of achievement and the confidence to decorate using royal icing.
This course requires some additional equipment which you will be able to pre-order. You will be sent an equipment list four weeks prior to the course.
