In just one day airbrushing expert, Laura Dodimead, will explain the basics of working with an airbrush, including how to assemble and maintain it, as well as how to hold it and control the pressure for different effects. She will also demonstrate the different colour options available, including the use of Squires Kitchen Airbrush Colours and dust food colours mixed with clear alcohol.

You will have the chance to practise a whole range of effects including graduating colours, mixing different shades, fading, shading, block colouring and using your own handmade stencils. Laura will also show you how to master popular patterns such as 3D bubbles, leopard print and woodgrain effects, as well as layering colour to create a stunning hydrangea motif.

If you already own an airbrush you can bring it along to learn how to make the most of it. If you do not already own an airbrush and would like the chance to try one out before committing to the purchase we do have a limited number available to borrow on the day. You would then have the opportunity to buy our Airbrush Kit with your 10% course discount on the day.

SKILLS TIP: Airbrushing is a skill worth mastering because you can give your bakes a unique design that can’t be replicated. It’s also very inexpensive, making it a technique useful for beginners and professionals who want to give their cakes a modern edge.
